MARION COTILLARD | CELEB STYLE

Coco Chanel and Bridget Bardot lead the charge for fashionable French women in the first half of the 20th Century, but there are plenty of women following in their fashionable footsteps today. Marion Cotillard is one such woman. Capitulated into the limelight in 2007 after her multi-award winning performance in La Vie En Rose (she earned an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe!), Cotillard has been one of my red carpet and off duty fashionistas ever since. While she took some time to get into her stride (lets not look back at the early noughties shall we?) once she got it, she got it good.

She wore this gorgeous white cape with a Chanel Couture dress to the 2008 BAFTA Awards.

Picking up her Best Actress Academy Award for her role in La Vie En Rose in 2008, she wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Couture fishtale dress and carried a white box clutch.

She wore this scrumptious pink pussybow dress with matching shoes and a silver clutch by Dior to the Dior Fashion and Art exhibition in Beijing.

A year later, she wore this electric blue strapless sequined gown with a black tulle skirt by Christian Dior Couture at the 2009 Oscars.

She later changed into an Elie Saab strapless dress with silver sandals to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

She wore this sophistication Christian Dior belted skirt suit with platform sandals, sunglasses and a white clutch for a fashion event in New York. Tres chic.

At the London premiere of Public Enemies, Marion wore this sexy red strapless number by Vivienne Westwood and strappy black heels.

She wore this stunning nude Christian Dior spring/summer 2013 gown at the Cesar Film Awards.

At the Paris premiere of Contagion. she wore a Christian Dior white windowpane check dress with red suede sandals

To attend the Costume Institute Gala Benefit, celebrating Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, she wore this gorgeous deep purple Christian Dior strapless beaded gown. The only thing I don't like about this ensemble is her hair.

This peach coloured chiffon number by Christian Dior is too cute. M wore this with a gold belt and lemon yellow heels for an appearance during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. Sweet and sugary!

Attending the Dior's autumn/winter 2012-13 couture show in Paris, she wore a Christian Dior floral dress and nude satin sandals.

Marion always looks so good in houndstooth, and this ensemble was no exception. She wore a Christian Dior houndstooth dress with a gold belt and accessorised with red stiletto heels and a matching clutch, also by Dior, for the London premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.

Moving into 2013, at the Critics' Choice Awards she wore a Zuhair Murad floral dress, Jimmy Choo heels and Chopard jewels. Beautiful.

I love the floral print of this Erdem pre-autumn/winter 2013-14 gown she wore to the BAFTAs Awards Season Tea Party in LA, however I'm not a fan of the length - knee length would have bee perfect.

This is one of my favourite looks. She wore a Christian Dior orange dress with matching stiletto heels and a gold belt to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. I love the slicked back hair and minimalistic jewellery.

Another time Marion rocked houndstooth was when she attended the BAFTA Nominees Party. She wore a Christian Dior dress with houndstooth bodice. This is an amazing example of well selected accessories completing an outfit. The matching red shoes and necklace + the black coat + the white clutch = style perfection.

She attended the BAFTA Awards wearing in this stunning canary yellow strapless gown by Dior Couture with a Chopard diamond necklace and ring. So very glamorous Marion.

Showing off her fabulous legs, she chose this teal dress from the Antonio Berardi autumn/winter 2013-14 collection with Jimmy Choo nude heels to the 2013 Cannes Film Festival press conference for her film Blood Ties.

Channeling the sixtie with a beehive hair do, she wore a dress from the Dior pre-spring/summer 2014 collection to the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Blood Ties.

Wearing an Alexander McQueen velvet and macramĂ© dress from the pre-autumn/winter 2013-14 collection at the Cannes Film Festival press conference for The Immigrant. Love the detailing on this dress.

She wore a Dior pre-autumn/winter 2013-14 white silk crepe gown with Chopard jewellery to the Cannes Film Festival premiere of The Immigrant.

During the Toronto Film Festival, she wore a sheer lace Christian Dior dress to the Blood Ties premiere.

On another red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival promoting her film Blood Ties , she wore a Christian Dior Couture dress and heels.
She wore a Dior Couture autumn/winter 2013 gown to the Marrakesh International Film Festival Opening Ceremony.

I'm sorry, but what is going on with her hair here? Not a fan. At the A Thousand Times Good Night premiere during the Marrakesh International Film Festival, she chose to wear this stripy dress from the Dior spring/summer 2014 collection.

In another electric blue Dior Couture creation at the 2014 Met Ball. She paired this with jewellery by Chopard.

To the Two Days, One Night press conference at Cannes Film Festival, she wore a embellished dress by Maison Martin Margiela Haute Couture. Loving the combo of the black boots and colourful mini.

At the L'Homme Qu'On Aimait Trop premiere at Cannes Film Festival, she teamed a Christian Dior gown with Christian Louboutin heels. Utterly stunning.

Maintenir le bon travail Marion!
What's your favourite Marion look?

Lots of Love,
