THE GLAMOUR OF ITALIAN FASHION

Walking through the large glass doors you are immediately presented with what seems like a traditional Italian marble wall. On the wall reads the words: THE GLAMOUR OF ITALIAN FASHION.

Last week, I attended The Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibition at the V&A Museum, which ended sadly yesterday. The exhibition showcased fashions by designers including Pucci, Sorelle Fontana, Valentino, Gucci, Missoni, and Giorgio Armani, spread across 5 sections: Return to Luxury, Tailoring, Made in Italy, Cult of the Fashion Designer, and Italian's Fashion Future.

DISNEY COMES TO LIFE | ART

If you know anything about me, you'll know that I love Disney. When I was younger, I always wanted to be a Disney princess, so much so that one time I tried to close a door just like Cinderella but managed to trap my fingers! Nice one Anna.

One of  reasons Disney movies are so good is of course their staying power. Years later, I find myself still attached to these characters and I don't feel embarrassed to admit that, and I can happily watch the films and listen to the songs without cringing. (However, I refuse to watch Bambi, Dumbo and The Fox and the Hound ever again! *wipes tears from eyes*). Not only are the classic Disney films still great, but the company is still releasing entertaining films today such as Tangled and Frozen (Olaf is literally the best thing ever!).

And now it seems these characters from my youth have come to life - well, almost... Artist Jirka Väätäinen has created some beautiful photo manipulations of these animated royals, and one villain - Ursula haunted my dreams for a good few years - entitled Real Life Disney Girls.

PEACH NECTAR

This is without a doubt, my favourite lipstick of the summer! Maybe of the year, but we'll have to what until 2015 to see. So, what is the mystery best beauty buy in question...?

When I came home for the summer after my first year at university, I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of lipsticks that had magically appeared on my dressing table in a make up bag. It turns out, my mum had decided to give me some of her lipsticks that she had never used. What a sweetheart my mum is.

MARION COTILLARD | CELEB STYLE

Coco Chanel and Bridget Bardot lead the charge for fashionable French women in the first half of the 20th Century, but there are plenty of women following in their fashionable footsteps today. Marion Cotillard is one such woman. Capitulated into the limelight in 2007 after her multi-award winning performance in La Vie En Rose (she earned an Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe!), Cotillard has been one of my red carpet and off duty fashionistas ever since. While she took some time to get into her stride (lets not look back at the early noughties shall we?) once she got it, she got it good.

She wore this gorgeous white cape with a Chanel Couture dress to the 2008 BAFTA Awards.

STOP THE MADNESS

It happens to all of us. We get judged on our appearance. Some may say this is a normal part of life and we just have to deal with the fact that the prettier people get further in life - this could not be more wrong. Girl's and women these days are growing up with the wrong ideas of what it is to be beautiful, and how much importance should be placed on striving towards the ideal standards of appearance - the belief that if they look better, they are better.
