Alexa Chung has for a long time now been one of my favourite people.

When I first got really into fashion aged 13, I cut out loads of pictures from my "substantial" pile of magazines I had already collected to stick on my bedroom door. The above image was one of them. She's at Wireless Festival, and quite frankly, just looks cool. With the definitive Mulberry bag in hand, Alexa was never one to shy away from fashion, and it's safe to say her individualism has made her one of today's style icons.

In celebration of her 30th birthday yesterday, here are some (it was really hard to narrow down, believe me!) of my favourite Alexa looks. Happy birthday Alexa!

Lets start with "street style Alexa"...

Now for "red carpet Alexa"... 

 

Alexa was the first person to carry the Mulberry bag that had been named in her
honour, which she debuted at the Mulberry spring/summer 2010 show in New York.

Back in early 2010, Alexa wore Chanel for the
Chanel Couture show in Paris.

Later in the year, Alexa attended the Chanel autumn/winter 2010-11
show during Paris Fashion Week, wearing Chanel of course!

Alexa wore Phillip Lim to the 2010 Met Ball.

I absolutely love this look. This is styling to perfection.

At the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2010,
Alexa wore this stunning Valentino Couture ensemble.

Alexa wore Chanel for the reopening of the

Chanel store in New York's Soho.

At the New York launch party for BOUTIQUES.COM in

2010, Alexa wore this green Proenza Schouler  dress,

paired with stunning red lips.

Alexa wore a Chanel Couture dress at
the SS11 Chanel Couture show in Paris.

At the NME Awards in 2011, Alexa wore
this spacy Christopher Kane dress.

Wearing Christopher Kane again, but this time to
the 2011 Met Ball. Key feature: the see-through pockets.

At the British Fashion Awards, Alexa wore a

Christopher Kane SS12 dress and won of the British

Style award for a second consecutive year.

Alexa wore a Marc Jacobs leather panelled dress

and a white shirt at the Met Ball in 2012.

To attend the Royal Academy Summer Party, Alexa chose a Moschino AW12 white shift dress with pocket detailing, accessorised with black patent heels and a straw clutch.

In a Chanel strapless pearl-embellished dress at
the 2013 amfAR Benefit Gala.

Flying the flag for British fashion, Alexa wore an Erdem
black panelled dress at the Met Ball earlier this year.

To host the L'Oréal Colour Trophy Awards in London,
Alexa wore this sparkly Bella Freud dress.

Alexa wore Chanel at the fashion house's most
recent couture show in Paris.
